Vinyasa
A deep, active style of yoga in which poses generally flow together for a faster-paced and challenging yoga experience. Levels of difficulty vary from day-to-day depending on the wants and needs of the individual students attending. Inversions and advanced postures are often practiced, but never required. Some previous experience with yoga is helpful but first time yogis are welcome!
Private Sessions (Yoga, Physical Therapy, and/or CranioSacral Therapy)
Each of these one-on-one sessions is tailor-made to work with your body and your needs in order to help you achieve your physical, mental, and spiritual goals. A student can decide if they want strictly yoga, physical therapy, CranioSacral Therapy or a combination of any of those three. This is a great option for students with injuries, special conditions, newer students, experienced yogis looking to deepen their practice, or anyone wanting more personal attention in their approach to yoga and their body. Classes held in the comfort of your own home allow you to control the atmosphere of your yoga experience, or if you prefer the class can be held at taraNa Yoga's beautiful practice space or Catherine's home studio. These private sessions are a great way to deepen your practice, and also make an excellent gift!
CranioSacral Therapy
CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body through resoring healthy mobility to the web of fascia, or connective tissue throughout the spine, cranium, nerves, brain, and entire body.
Using a gentle touch, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system, decreasing stress and pain and improving mobility and physiological function throughout the body.
This practice blends well with yoga, particularly to enhance the relaxing and healing effects of savasana and yogic relaxation.

Physical Therapy
Catherine's work as a physical therapist focuses on holistic methods to restore function, mobility, and health to the body. This includes gentle manual techniques to alievate stress, tension, and pain through the soft-tissues of the body (muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia), postural re-training to help relieve the stress of everyday life, and specific yoga and exercise training to strengthen and support the body.
Yoga Mala
A Yoga Mala is a traditional practice of 108 sun salutations. Different variations of the classical sun salutation are employed to keep the class exciting, varied, and challenging. All levels of experience and ability are welcome as students are invited to practice at their own pace and ability. Modifications are offered and encouraged to make your yoga experience unique, personal, and safe.
